Hajduszoboszlo, Hungary

Hajduszoboszlo is one of Hungary's most visited and beloved small towns due to its beautiful surroundings and the famous spa, which by today has grown into a real bathig complex.

The town itself is situated in the eastern part of the country, in the north-east part of the Great Hungarian Plain. It is 20 kms from Debrecen, the chief town of the county Hajdu-Bihar, and about 200 kms from Budapest, the capital.

It has a population less than 20 000 people, and a history of almost one thousand years.

It is the scenery where "the sky meets the ground", and it is not boring or dull even for travelleres who are used to romantic montains as it is enlivened by reeds and woods and the thousands of wild birds living in the old beds that the river Tisza left behind.

The Eastern Canal flows north of the town. It is used not only for watering but is a popular resting place where nature lovers can swim, boat, fish and enjoy untroubled peace.

If you are more into sightseeing, museums and art galleries the Old Town is the place for you with its lovely old buildings, stylish cafes and restaurants.

No matter if you are a pensioner with rheumatic problems, a couple with children or a teenage group you are likely to find whatever you are looking for.

Thanks to the ideal climate and the hospitality of Hungarian people you are bound to have a great time here.
